This course aims to build on the introductory skills acquired at Beginners level and is the second of a 3-Level programme.  This Microsoft Access 2007 Intermediate course is therefore designed for users who have an understanding of how to create tables, enter, modify and delete records and create simple queries, tables and forms.   This direct delivery course is interactive, and will engage you in activities that will enable you to acquire sufficient skills and knowledge to enable you to enter data correctly, create more sophisticated and complex queries and carry out some basic automation techniques involving macros.  Upon completion of the course you will be able to:

 

  • Use various data validation features in access to protect data
  • Format data in a table
  • Perform more advanced queries using a variety of querying techniques
  • Create and use parameter queries
  • Create calculated queries
  • Create and use Macros in Access
  • Work with a number of macro techniques
  • Create macros on forms
  • Create a Data Access Page

Entry Requirements
Microsoft Access 2007 Intermediate assumes that delegates have have completed the Beginners course, and/or have a basic understanding of database and can therefore create databases comprising of tables, simple queries, forms and reports.   It would also be beneficial to have a general understanding of personal computers and the Windows operating system environment.
Progression The natural progression is Access Advanced.
Duration 9:30 am to 4:30 pm
